found the legal text of the Generic license
http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/legalcode (Not linked on their license page, had to type it manually) and there are no licenses listed as compatible.
You may not impose any effective technological measures on the Work that restrict the ability of a recipient of the Work from You to exercise the rights granted to that recipient under the terms of the License.
That is incompatible with the GNU GPLv2 which has no such clause (See TiVo's modifications of the Linux kernel). So in answer to your question, probably not.
Now if the BSD license (Without the advertising clause) is found to be compatible, possibly.
