Hi:  I'm a Linux gamer who just discovered oa.  I've got Quake 3 and ut2004, but can't get oa to do multiplayer (throws several different errors about my pak files).  I installed oa from the openSuSE10.2 repository and maybe the problem is the patch?  I don't know if this forum is set up to field such questions.
Thanks!
Patti :-)

http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/lmich/openSUSE_10.2/
it could be added via yum too ;-)
EDIT : this is the official game OpenSuSE 10.2 repo
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/games/openSUSE_10.2/
Both include oa-0.7.7 ;-)

Ah!  My YaST says that 0.7.1 is installed (and offers no others).   It looks like the openSuSE10.2 repo I was using *only* had the old version!  I guess YaST still has problems in the far-flung and diverse Internet... ;-)
EDIT:  Yes!  That fixed it!  Thanks!

asking when OA3 will be done won't get OA3 done.
Progress of OA3 currently occurs behind closed doors alone

I do not provide technical support either.

new code development on github
