when you are creating a map how do you change the weapons of the map. because i have played some maps with only one gun how do u do that?Huh

Well, if you are mapping you just put the desired content in it and leave the rest out, however you can also use certain mods to control the weapons, for example excessiveplus.

hello keo,

when you make a map with gtkradiant you place weapons around the map. if you want to try a map with less weapons you can download the map file from here, open it up with gtkradiant, delete some of the weapons and compile the map. be warned though, a few of the maps, like aggressor, were made with quark and don't work with gtkradiant.

Strange, I've read about you finding problems with that, do you have any screenshots of the breakage when using Q3Map2 to convert it?

Wondering, because it seemed in tact when I did it and now I'm wondering how blind I've gotten not to notice it, LOL!

i used q3radiant to convert it, as dmn_clown advised in this thread.

sadly i didn't take any pictures of the breakages, but there were a lot of them. many brushes were out of alignment and had to be deleted and remade. a lot of textures seemed to have changed and had odd rotation. the map wouldn't compile because of the number of leaks.

i've read that you can decompile a bsp to a map file with q3map2, i don't know how well that works, but i might give it a go.

That is normal when converting from the brush primitive format.

sorry i said this wrong when you are creating a server how do you change the weapons but now vy the way you guys are talking it sounds like you cant you have to alter a intire map so how do you do that
