This is a long shot, but maybe someone on this forum has an idea that might help me.
Yesterday, I replaced my Linksys router with a new D-Link DIR-615. I love playing OpenArena and when I started it up, my new router crashed. All the lights went off, the power light turned to orange, and it lost all communications to everything. When I quit OA, the router rebooted and connectivity restored. This happened every time I started OA and selected multi-player, and Internet search for servers. Locally, it plays fine.
I reinstalled OA, no difference.
I did forward a range of ports on the router just to make sure. e.g. 27950-27980.
I'm wired to the router, with a fixed IP of 192.168.1.100
I'm hoping someone might have a clue or suggestion to try. Dlink hasn't been much help so far.
