Hello all together,

my sister is a director and she´s working on a movie (http://www.presseportal.de/pm/7840/2253592/drehstart-fuer-tore-tanzt-koproduktion-von-zdf-das-kleine-fernsehspiel-mit-julius-feldmeier)

she wants to use a game played in background in one scene.

is it possible to use openarena without getting in trouble with the license?

i know that openarena" is under GPL but i am not sure because it is a commercial movie...

Thank you in advance -- matze

GPL does not cover the output of a program, which would be a video of the gameplay. You won't have any problems using OA in a background scene.

Reverse product placement in action? Smiley (Companies pay wads of cash to get their products shown in blockbuster movies.)

It should be okay.

Fun fact: Nexuiz was an arcade cabinet in the tv series Flashpoint Smiley

asking when OA3 will be done won't get OA3 done.
Progress of OA3 currently occurs behind closed doors alone

I do not provide technical support either.
