First off, if you want your server to be detected/scanned by ASE, i recommend that all servers use this masterlist so their server will be detected by mostly every server browser.
seta sv_master1 "master3.idsoftware.com"
seta sv_master2 "master0.gamespy.com"
seta sv_master3 "master.kali.net"
seta sv_master4 "clanservers.net"
seta sv_master5 "dpmaster.deathmask.net"
Now that you have ur masterlist all set, you have to configure ASE to work with OA since it doesnt support the game by default yet.
Simply open ASE, click on Filter on the menu bar, then click on New. Then type in OpenArena for name, then enter the following inside the box:
1 if version ~== "*ioQ3 1.33+oa*" goto 3
2 remove
it should look something like this:
and that's it!
ASE wont detect ur server unless you use that masterlist so be sure to do so.
a sticky of this thread would be greatly appreciated. im sure alot of people prefer using ASE over the server browser on the website or the default q3 browser on the site, atleast i do anyway
