I have a problem when recording .avi sequences from .dm_68 files and by using the /video function.
As the recording starts it gives the following error:

Warning: Audio capture is not supported with OpenAL. Set use s_use_openAL to 0 for audio capture.

and no sound becomes recorded on the raw .avi.
Obviously it would be simple enough to set s_useopenAL to 0, so I've done that, but there are still no sound output on the clips I record.
Anyone had this problem before, or know how to fix it?
This is under Linux, so no point trying to make FRAPS work.
(I did try it under Wine but it got messed up badly)

did you do snd_restart after setting openal to 0?

asking when OA3 will be done won't get OA3 done.
Progress of OA3 currently occurs behind closed doors alone

That did the trick, marvelous!
However, the sound does sound a bit distorted (both before and after compressing) listen to the rocket sound especially:
