Sorry mate, I've already tried what I knew to try and help you... Also we need to mention that there are two ports running server instances on the same laptop as <<ME>> is playing on, and this is under Windows.
(did you check that .bat file so it doesn't have nochat 0 when you start it?)

i had the same problems playing through the single player maps.

the bot_nochat command made no difference to their talkativity...

Hmm, To be honest, I've gotten used to bots talking so much, Mind you, I do suppose changing the Sound effect used In OA For when Someone talks could help, maybe making a more subtle 'click' or 'squeak' or something...

Then I believe that everyone that connects to your servers would need to download your 'custom' .pk3 files. Not 100% sure about this though, and it might be configurable through sv_pure =0/1

If you refer to leileilol, then he/she is currently in #openarena, provided you are desperate for a quick answer to your question.
Otherwise others will read this post, so just have some patience Smiley

Have you tried +set bot_nochat 1 on the command line? It seems to work on my machine if I do it on the command line, but not if I do it in game... Not sure why...

Yes, we did try that but as it seems they go on chatting for whatever reason.
I've exhausted my resources in helping him though (he's a tough little bugger) Smiley

The bots always talk in CTF mode because that is how they create strategies/gives commands (or at least try to do).

Change the source code or force it to not load the files with the bots commands (by overwriting them with files in another pk3-file).

Hi !

I have the same problem in CTF!

Its strange coz i set bot_nochat="1" AND bot_report="0" (!!!)

Solution:
A human player must say_team "i am the leader"
If reports dont stop try it again a second time.
This solved the "problem" for me.
But i dont understand why i have it to say twice sometimes.

Have fun with CTF!
