Some work, some only work on certain architectures, and some don't.

Thanx guys, I have been an avid Mac user for 13 years now and like it when games I loved back in the day become OpenSource. Well I just need to find out how I install the mods under the new Universal Binary Native OS X compiled OA .7.0 for Mac. Basically a Mac OS X Native app is a self contained application. However it also gives the user the ability to "Show Package Contents" when the application is right clicked on to bring up the contextual menu associated with the application. Inside this stuff is the baseOA folder. How do I install UrbanTerror using only the pk3 files instead of the Win32 .EXE installer which will never work on a Mac.
EDITED Addition
I have tested some of my favourite models and a map in OA so far and they all work, however I can't get UT to install. To help you guys understand my situation, just think of the UT Mod installation using the pk3 files as you would just drop them in the baseq3 folder of Q3A. Can someone help?

Well, you could always enable autodownload and then search for an UT server in the master server list If I remember correctly, you need to place the UT folder in the root of OpenArena, and not in the BASEOA folder.

Try it with their binary, it is a standalone game now.

the easiest ways is to enable auto download and join a mod server, i have no idea why oa has it off on default XD, there is urban terror 2.5, the rainbow mods, exessive plus, and rctf(which owns btw)

Because there's always a potential risk of malicious code coming via autodownload to a hard drive near you
