i've seen the missionpack being mentioned in several threads but i've never really understood what's new.
i did a search but couldn't find an informative thread about it.

what's the difference going to be between OpenArena and Missionpack?

two big differences -
more gameplay modes
new interface

asking when OA3 will be done won't get OA3 done.
Progress of OA3 currently occurs behind closed doors alone

The Missionpack is Q3:Team Arena and has more of a focus on team gametypes with the addition of one flag ctf, harvester, and overload, we're including additional gametypes beyond what iD released in q3:ta (instagib*, vampire DM*, nexuiz style rocket arena*, domination, double domination, elimination, ctf elimination, last man standing [currently]).

A lot more work needs to happen before it is released.

* playable across all gametypes
