Is this really the place to ask about wq3?  Shouldn't you ask on their forums?

It is not our responsibility to ensure that mods are compatible and/or working it is the mods authors, if they have no interest in supporting OA... *shrugs*

Put the westernq3 map in the baseoa map (cd /opt/openarena-0.7.0/ && mv -R westernq3 baseoa/). Then you should get it to work.  (Try to connect to a server: /connect 69.12.76.75)

Wq3 works with OA fine, afaik. Occasionally, there are visitors to our forum who apparantly play in this fashion.

Not many have asked for OA support over our way. Maybe one or two. At least we tried to help... *shrugs*

The only help that we can really give is the generic "Extract the mod in openarena-0.7.0, go to the mods list, and select westernq3" and or start the game with +set fs_game westernq3 which obviously was not working for this individual.

We don't have access to your source code so can't see what, if anything, is conflicting *shrugs*

There are instructions & screenshots for using WQ3 with OA over at our forums now. Click Here to go straight to the topic.

After reading the first post here again, I believe mathman may have mistakenly extracted the contents of the westernq3 folder straight into the OpenArena folder.
