1 = current bloom
2 = no bloom
3 = framebuffer bloom

i might just give some enlightenment on the technique used in framebuffer bloom. it uses a full twopass gaussian blur on a downsampled copy of the main screen and then computes a sigmoidal transfer of the gaussian blured image before finally screening it back to the main framebuffer image.
its essentially comparable to the gimp's (http://gimp.org) 'softglow' effect.

I like it, at the defaults its nice and subtle without being obtrusive or annoying.
