My copy of OA doesn't work anymore. I open it up, the screen goes black, then it just quits out.

A fresh reinstall does the same?

tried deleting q3config.cfg?

Go to both your baseoa folders and delete q3config.cfg and autoexec.cfg (if it exists) from both of these, and try starting oa again.

Nope. I took them out and it did nothing, so I put them back.

No error messages.

I have exact same thing for about a week. since I use windows I found one of the exe's still launch the game fine. the others just crash, no error message. I havent had a proper look at it but it wasnt a config issue. I'll try clearing out any downloaded baseoa files tomorrow to see if something has broke it, otherwise it'll have to be a clean install.

So deleting q3config.cfg, autoexec.cfg and reinstalling didn't work? Sad

Could you try launching OA from the command line and pasting the resulting messages on to a forum post?

I've had gpu driver updates blow away games before. Did you have a system update or something before OA stopped working?

what version of the system are you using?

Are you on tiger and that started to happen a couple of weeks ago?

Having the crash log would be useful. You can find it in /Users/yourusers/Library/Logs/CrashReporter.
Or get it directly opening the game from the command line.
