Problem with OA Laucher

  Hi, I use OpenArena on Windows XP sp2 I have video acelerator fx5200 256mb. Micro Amd 1,47ghz and 1024mbram.

  I have played Open Arena frequently, but today I have a problem with the launcher. I have not idea of reason.

  Maybe somes configurations of Video Card, but I have restaured.

open your q3config.cfg in notepad (it should be in <username>/Application Data/OpenArena a hidden directory)

find these lines

seta r_mode "3"
seta r_fullscreen "1"
seta r_customwidth "640"
seta r_customheight "480"

change r_mode to -1 and r_customwidth + r_customheight to match your desktop resolution.  The game should start then.

The game is trying to start up at 640x480 and can't switch to that resolution probably because of a limitation of your desktop to higher resolutions.

  Continuos whit the same problem, I have changed my desktop resolution to 640*480 and the game don't work :S

  But in my launcher the archive says:

seta r_customheight "1024"
seta r_customwidth "1600"

My native desktop resolution is 1024*768, i need prove with other seta r_mode "3" for what is this?

Maybe you can try this : move your q3config file, a new one should be created from scratch, and see if it helps to start it again.
