Ask somebody to connect to rn|tourney, use your client to list the online servers, you'll notice rn|tourney is listed with 0 players instead of 1.

I did a test using their 0.7.0 binaries server-side and also got 0 players with "Only humans" on.

version is ioQ3 1.33+oa linux-i386 Aug 10 2008 on all but one of the RN 0.8.0 servers -- are they using binaries from the 0.7.0 source?  (g_humanplayers is a 0.8.0 thing, and is not in the 0.7.x sources)

I'm not sure, but perhaps it's because of the mods the servers use? I saw one other server (Non-RN) using a mod that showed 0 humans but had two in it.

I often see incorrect numbers when "only humans" is on. I.e. there's 12 players (server full) and I see only 11/12 in my list, or even less.quite upsetting, when you try to enter a server you believe not to be full, ynd get refused because it actually IS full.

There were 2 people on TDM or Tourney (one of those), and it still showed 0 players with "Only Humans" on, even though g_humanplayers was 2.

Spectators don't appear to be counted as human players (which does makes sense because they aren't playing, but doesn't because they are, usually, human).

It's possible (I only see ufreeze, CorkScrew, excessive, defrag, and RN's "newmaps" right now).

Now the opposite: CorkScrew isn't using ioQ3 1.33+oa (using 1.35, but built later), and has 4 players, but g_humanplayers is zero, not 4.  Also shows 0 players with "Only humans" set on.

Well, one of the differences between humans and bots are, that bots get auto-kicked when you enter, so they don't really occupy the player slot.

BTW. bots CAN spectate, I heart reports of 8 bots entering a game and spectating Cheesy (in Evil arena, a few days ago, admin screwed something up)

I'd say those two human players ripped their eyeballs out so they wouldn't be tracked

Progress of OA3 currently occurs behind closed doors alone
