I'd like to help out the cause but can't find any paypal donate buttons or any other means to chip in some spare change.

TIA,

That's weird. I'm a dev, but can't devote time to the project so I thought I would help ensure that these guys have incentive to continue the work they have done already. I also wanted to speak to them about doing a related project and wanted to show that I was serious about committing some resources to it by providing an initial donation.

I'd appreciate it if the admin/project lead touched base with me on the above.

Thanks.

Yes it is weird but not highly important for OA i figure.

After time you just get used to it Cheesy

In fact, the OA main page is one of the few pages that will display instantly on a web browser regardless of your connection status. Me has a 33.6k connection, I notice these things Cheesy

haha! Too funny. Well missbehaving, it looks like you are a forum MVP- please put in a good word and a request from me to be contacted by the project admin if you could. I couldn't pm them due to being a new member.

I'm not sure where fromhell (the dev) is at the moment, haven't seen her on MSN or IRC recently.

Here's an excellent post from Coding Horror that discusses reasons money are not effective in opensource projects:

http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/archives/001158.html

I cannot agree more (although I'm not participating in any projects now).
