Hi there,

I wonder if there is really no official entity definition file provided along with OA. Any weapon in the previous versions of OA are also in the standard definition file of Q3 but now the new weapons are not available.

I saw other topics related to this problem (click here) but the mentioned entities-ta.def couldn't be located by me.

I use GtkRadiant 1.4/WinXP.

Help is very welcome.

Thanks.

Maybe this should help you:

Thanks for the fast reply. The host service seems to be down though. Will try out as soon as host service is up again.

Oops... I use GTKR 1.5, but I guess that should work. Do any backup. :/

I now found out the file hoster isn't down but your link is "broken" in some way. You NEED to add www to the URL. Correct: http://www.rapidshare.com/files/145002817/oa.game.rar.html

Unfortunately the entity definition files you provided will not work for GtkRadiant 1.4 since version 1.5 and 1.4 use different formats. Thanks though.

Anybody has the corresponding definition file in 1.4 format?

Post the 1.4 def file here, and I'll see what can I do.

Well, actually the difference in the format is that 1.5 is xml-style while 1.4 is GtKRadiant's own style format.

I attached the whole entities.def (rename it; had to add .txt to attach the file).

Anyways, make a backup before replace.

Thanks alot. Did you use a script or did you translate by hand?

I will check later if this works. From a first glimpse through the file I can say it looks promising though.

By hand, comparing with the 1.5 entities.def.
I always do these class of things by curiosity. At the end, one learns a lot by that.

Tried it now and works great Smiley! Thanks again.

Well, just a minor issues I'll mention though. You know, any entity is enframed by a cube in the editor. Often you see the (new) weapon/ammo but the cube is gone or just partially drawn. Actually this is no problem, just to let you know.
