there's a bug in the skirmish map menu that loses maps if you have too many map pk3s. i've done a little searching and found

beast. one of the features seemed to be what i was looking for...
* fixed memory corruption if more than 64 maps are in base directory
i downloaded the
pak8.pk3 into baseoa and sure enough it fixed the problem. i went from having 80 maps to 130. sadly though this means that OpenArena 0.8.1's qvms were being overridden in the process, so i lost the new weapons and all the great improvements. ideally i'd like to find out what the bug fix was and have it implemented in openarena (and upstream to ioquake3 i guess).
sadly i wasn't able to find the source code or a diff file for what beast did. does anyone know where i might find one?
