Unable to load any music or introductions

So far this seems to be a great game, guys. Kudos. I think ID software would be proud.

However, i've had an error since i first turned on the game, though i just realized it when i looked up at the log.

I am unable to load any music or introductory data, along with ending music.

The screen reads ''Unable to load sound/player/music(or announce)/insert file name----using default" And no sound will play.

Operating system: Windows XP
Sound card drivers up to date
Graphics card: ATI Radeon series
Processor: Dual core 2.7 2.5 Ghz
Graphics card drivers up to date


I've tried re-downloading it, no dice. Anyone have a solution?

there's no music in the current version. there should be a short video snippet showing the openarena logo in white over a black background though. but no real cinematic like the quake 3 intro with the dude and his cigar

oh, so no music for now. Do you guys plan on adding some?

Yes, but somehow there is this strong repellance in this project that doesn't have a set genre set in stone that scares away potential tracker musicians
