Has ID released their source code for the Update/Authorize servers? 

If they have OA could use it to push updates to people so they wouldn't have to download 300 megs worth of files...

It could also be used to force people to sign up to d/l or use OA...receiving a "CD Key" in their email after signing up...

This could be linked to forum registration and would generate real usable info about how many OA players there actually are
