3 quests:

-is there a way to choose resolution for this levelshot screenshot tga/jpeg files?
-can you take a screenshot without the console showing?
-oa seems to hang after doing a levelshot. is this normal? have no more Q3 installed

yes,just bind it to a key. Just type in console: /bind <key> screenshotjpeg ,and it should work everytime you tap that button.

Tip:Don't try to bind any keys outside your main key area(F1,home,insert,number pad,etc.) because it won't work.

I do think the momentary hang is normal because it happens to me with any quake engine game.

The hang seems to be worse on Radeon cards for some reason

cg_draw2D 0 should get the hud crap out of view.

nah, it's not momentary, its hanging forever.
I'm working on my girlfriends work-laptop for the moment, integrated graphics, so that will  prob cause the problem i guess.

You could always just resize the screen (+ and -), take a normal screenshot, open the shot in any image editor and crop out the HUD, I haven't noticed any hang doing it that way.  Of course that is with an nVidia board.
