I am now using NetRadiant instead. It is much easier to get running.

icculus is down Sad
today is not my day i think.
i will give it a try in the next days.
btw: i noticed, that in the zeroradiant-svn are many files for other fps (maps and so on). why there are no oa-files?

I could not get GTKradient 1.6 (from SVN) working either, the install instructions don't work and it immediately segfaults when run locally.

I also tried running QuarK 6.6.0-beta using Wine, but that failed too (some python error as soon as the map editor component is loaded).

Gotta try NetRadiant soon.

i did it.
net- and zeroradiant now running fine.
but it was a hard peace of work. it seems, that both tools need the entities.def-file instead of the entities.ent.
thx to armageddon_man for his translation some month ago. why does oa not support both files (or am i to blind to find the def)?
just one thing for zeroradiant (i prefer): i can not use the light-entity. i select this entity and create a box, but in the entity-inspector i can not find it. any ideas? remeber: i am a radiant-noob...

Press n to see it. If you want to place an entity, just right-click in some of the white 2d areas and navigate until you find that entity.

I bet you haven't tried or seen UnrealED 1.0, 2.0 or 3.0. (UED 4.0 which comes with UT3 and GoW I guess, I didn't saw it yet) THAT was a complicated and unintuitive level editor to begin. BUT, as everything, when you learn on how to use it, you'll find it's more complete than GTKR, it has everything you can imagine, except a program like Photoshop or GIMP or a sound program. Tongue
