I have tried Akimbo (simple but good mod, everyone should try it) on two PCs. Both of them have Windows XP and OpenArena 0.8.5.
In the first, I copied the Akimbo subfolder from my Quake 3 Arena directory to the OpenArena folder.
The mod worked perfectly. I have to check the version of the mod. --> UPDATE: I had Akimbo Version 1.2.
In the second, I downloaded the mod from the internet (
here), and unzipped it to the folder of OpenArena. But when starting the mod, the screen turns brown-orange!
It does not work at all. "Readme" file says Akimbo is version 1.0.
Strange thing... on one computer okay, on the other one, nothing to to...
