Hi all,

I got a problem with my server.
I looked everywhere on the net but nowhere I found a real sollution.
Last week I set up a server and when someone tries to download a map the upload speed is max 2kbps!!
The only solution i found is to put all map files on a external http server...
I did, and it works...
But i want to solve this problem and not work around it!
So does anyone here knows the right solution for this problem??

(sorry for my English)

Seems you didn't search well enough Wink

Thanx, but i already found that solution! Wink
I did put all my files on the external server and it does work!
But i find it strange that the upload is limited by 2kbps max.
I could upload max 600kpbs with my connection.
So i guess the problem lies within Openarena.
I just wanna know why Openarena won't let me upload 600kbps!

But i find it strange that the upload is limited by 2kbps max.
The engine has a fixed size window. I guess it was to ensure that all autodownload content would be 56k friendly.

I have thought about implementing a dynamic window with TCP style congestion control but it will not happen in the foreseeable future. It would be nice for LAN where an http server is really annoying.

Well, it's not really annoying because i got an hired server and it's damn fast.
But I know somewhone who is running a server as well, but the difference is he's running on Linux.
He has uploads speeds of 120 kbps... so I thought maybe its a setting in my router which isn't right.
But I know more people experience this problem.

Well.. HTTP works really well for me. But it's nice to know it's not because of my settings Smiley
Now I don't have to search anymore for another solution!
