Ok, i know they weren't made for this type of fast action game, and there are some technical differences between each game's engines which don't let some of the textures display correctly, but anyone know if there has been anything done with the multiplayer levels for Enemy Territory which Splash Damage released last year? I mean, the original quake 1 levels were incorporated into Open Arena, what about the Enemy Territory ones?

Being out there only to serve for that game only, and being boring horizontal maps, no dice.

The Quake levels were ported because they (the textureless bare .map files) were released under the GNU GPL v2 license on Romero's site, which was permissive.

asking when OA3 will be done won't get OA3 done.
Progress of OA3 currently occurs behind closed doors alone

I do not provide technical support either.

Yea, but weren't the Enemy Territory maps GPL'ed too? Please correct me if im wrong.  It'd be cool to see those maps appearing somewhere, even if only for the challenge. Smiley

NO

open source != always permissive licence
