Hi

I just fixed some minor graphical issues in the oa menu. The fonts will now look better because I've adjusted their position.

I used Bitstream Vera serif for the second font (see http://www.gnome.org/fonts/ for copyright - I'm not sure).

The menu background looks about better now ( frame2_l + 1_r ).

I corrected the Bitstream Vera serif a bit so it looks a bit better (although IMHO the font is definitely not the best choice for the game..)

hm... as we only need a font in capitals I could try to create a costum font for oa. 26 capital characters are not that much.

Any ideas on how it should look like? I thought about recreating something simple like this:

(FDL)

Font: Dark Garden

The FDL with the invariant sections clause which that image has does not meet the DFSG (read it is non-free and would move openarena to non-free in Debian) Sad

It did look neat, though Smiley

Edit:  Here is a link to the general resolution that explains Debian's position on the GFDL.

You might be able to find a usable font that meets the needs at http://www.openfontlibrary.org/

Not if the license is non-free like most of the fonts in the OFL are.

True. That's why I said 'might be usable'. Any font would have to have a license that is acceptable. There are some PD fonts out there, but I don't know what the OA team's feelings are on that...
