Translations (Brazilian Portuguese)

Hello,

I would like to translate the game to Brazilian Portuguese, but I'm not sure if OA has localization support. I tried to find information about it but I didn't find anything really useful...

So OA supports translations?
How can I help?

I have been working with translations in open source projects such as
GNOME, Fedora, RPM, Yum, etc for a long time so I'm very familiarized
with translations.

Whoah, do you want to translate HedgeWars or OpenArena, because these are the OpenArena forums? If you want to translate HedgeWars you need to go to the HedgeWars site. As far as I know, OpenArena currently does not support translations.

That's because I'm also translating HedgeWars and I sent the same kind of message to them some time ago, then I just copy it to save time but I notably forgot to delete the unnecessary part, sorry about that.

Unfortunately, id software aren't fans of string localizations (Epic was ahead of the game on that)

If I could, I would. But then there's this thing about mod compatibility that holds it back.

note that Raven Software attempted to have localization in their idtech3 games, so there is a possibility at some point..... though it's most effective when combined with real freetype rendering.

there's also this thing about pak purity and also bot chats....
