Setting a "Handicap" will make you WEAKER.
If you find online play frustrating, check and see that you have turned off Handicap.

The purpose of this setting is for personal challenges, and players that are aware that they're too good in certain servers. It will not make you stronger!

 Thank you!

p.s. Generations Arena really needs the Hovertank, Dangerous Dave and the Catacomb guy

 For more informations about how "handicap" works, please read DO NOT LINK[/b]) h t t p s : / / openarena . wikia . com/wiki/Manual/Player_settings#Handicap]here . Information for experienced players:
In the OAX beta version 46, it has been added a description in the GUI that informs that handicap makes the player weaker.

There should be a warning when activating this option. Or maybe it should even be removed from menu, since experienced players tend to never use it, and anyway now we have the g_catchup to force automatic handicap adaptation. |

I'm not sure posting here will help much.
Late Edit: was stupid, this post is seen in first page of oa.ws.

If people have handicap, I think it's because they unintentionnally clicked on the value, the user-interface is sensitive to clicks. Click on the label "handicap", it will change the value, click on the label "name" it won't affect the value of your name. Btw, 95 isn't big handicap.

g_catchup is activated in ROFL for beginner players.

There should be a warning when activating this option.
Didn't you read my post , just above yours? In the OAX (beta version) 046 (thus, it should be included in the next 0.8.6 release), there is a message that appears when you are over that option. Or do you even want a popup window that appears when you click it (maybe the first time only)? |

You guess this from view numbers ?Title could be more explicit, but I fear it wouldn't help much either.

She meant that line about Generations Arena. I don't know what it is, but I've got a feeling a new version is released without the Hovertank, Dangerous Dave and the Catacomb guy
 Just guessing. |

From Fromhell's first post: p.s. Generations Arena really needs the Hovertank, Dangerous Dave and the Catacomb guy
Let's change "size" from 1 to 10... p.s. Generations Arena really needs the Hovertank, Dangerous Dave and the Catacomb guy

It's a Q3 "crossover" mod. I haven't tested it yet, but it seems to include a lot of weapons from the past Quakes and the Doom series. I know that Quake III already does that, but this mods extends that idea. |
