Welcome to the boards, and also thanks for sharing the tracks, they're awesome. The Desktop 0003 is especially badass Smiley. Be aware that if you want to contribute music to OA it should be either under Public Domain or under the GPLv2 license. The end format is OGG Vorbis, I'm not sure about the specs, but Jute's files are encoded at 44,1Khz and 128kbps. So if you could upload them as OGG file somewhere (personal website, dropbox, rapidshare, etc.) and share the link it's okay. Also, could you make the tracks loop?

Desktop 0003 is nice... in some points it remembered me a music from Doom (are you sure they are done from scratch, right?), very good.  Smiley

The first part of Desktop 0001 seems more adapt to a Super Mario game than OpenArena...

I agree with the others, the second music link sounds to me like something for OA--it sounds Doom-ish, or maybe even a little bit like some of the music from The Matrix, like Rob Zombie stuff.  I like it a lot!

The first one is a good track too, but in my opinion it doesn't sound like OA--maybe an NES game like MegaMan or similar.

Just my opinion.  Smiley  Oh, and welcome.

Your music is great. Nice work. I like the Desktop "003". You should probably come up with more creative names than "Desktop NNN".

Desktop 1- sound like it would go good with a futuristic map like Slime Factory

Desktop 3- some notes especially the beginning sounds like the selection screen for Doom 2 when you are making a selection on the difficulty and watching a demo play. Might want to change them or something because it just sounds too familiar and Id would have a fit if there music was beginning used without there permission.

Yes, it's different, but also great. I don't agree with the 8bit references, I think it would fit into OA. The Russian band SLOT has similar tracks where they mixed up high pitched electro with heavy guitars, Paranoia, a total conversion for Half-Life used some of them and it was so cool. Also, no Enter Shikari fans here? Smiley

Can we know which music software you used ? Are there sources for both the music files (like .mid, or the format which is read by your software) and sound samples (.wav...) ?

That guitar riff is "tough" as you wrote, but also quite funny Wink

To comply with GPLv2, you should include the source files, if any...

sonar 8.5.3 because it support new vsti and DAW. But the important it the audio interface i use an edirol fa-66 that record at 96/24 and have very low asio latency.
