I just noticed that NetRadiant supports loading QuarK format map files.  This is done in the Preferences panel in the Brush section by enabling the "Use alternative texture projection" option.

But it always saves in that format too -- no conversion between formats is possible, unfortunately.

Maybe I will fix the code to simply allow loading both format (if q3map2 can load both without options, no reason the editor should be restricted like this).

Progress of OA3 currently occurs behind closed doors alone

I do not provide technical support either.

Zeroradiant allows you to load quark maps and save them as regular maps. Useful for converting.

Is there anybody who have zeroradiant installed and be able to convert the oa_base files (and maybe others?)?

I've managed to make oa_bases3 to work in NetRadiant.
You have to activate the alternate texture projection before working on it.
