Not about multiplying spawn points, but about adding a bit of "fuzziness" in where players are going to appear.
Goal is to prevent spawn prediction and camping.

The concept could be extended to "make spawn areas", but then I suppose it would either require a trick or modify the map making process.

I think this idea has already been brought by Falkland (where's he gone BTW ?)

and maybe make items into spawnpoints including all the supposedly unreachable ones, and have some visible checks so you don't suddenly spawn on an item with a rail pointing toward you. it'd benefit, uh, pillcity

Didn't Sago modified the way the spawnpoints worked in some version of OAX?
