http://download.tuxfamily.org/openarena/files/pk3/brightskins/

Depends which ones you prefer, I suppose one of them could come into that "pro" directory.

I prefer zz-proskins2.pk3.

I prefer something drawn in an alternate style, here's a brainstorm to show what i'm talking about for a pro skin style

Dunno how it would look ingame, problem is I feel like you have to come to "extreme" solutions to get visibility, since setups are varied. Everyone won't put efforts into fine-graining it (like removing the "high quality sky", rocket trails in allrockets, brightness...). And these brightskins are accepted by players and don't harm when they're used by everyone.

If i understand you right, you like to make an alternative skin.
Looks promising!

I just finished fine-graining some server config-logic.
I turned the servers PURE and left autodownload unnecessary.

Result:
=> People won't play with LARGE advantage over others (mostly NOOBS) anymore.
=> I'd be glad to find some brightskins so I can switch to some "PRO" mod directory for the servers which I would like to support them. (In particular allrockets and ctf4fishes, I was undecided with instagib. Anyway, a good proportion of them now use aimbots, they probably discovered what applies to UT also applies here, or something like that, took them 5 years, nice ...)

... I was undecided with instagib.

I may be a little biased as I only play insta, but it seems to me that bright-skins are even more important in instagib. It's not like you're firing a rocket that has an area of effect or spraying bullet weapons all over the place, you really have to hit someone on the nose.  Rest In PEACE! And even more important is when someone is sniping you  Evil from the other side of the map. They only have to hit you once so you really need to know where they are  Huh.

Wink

I'll consider it. I don't remember what made me think instagib could be a case which wouldn't profit from it.
