I've been downloading many GTKRadiant/NetRadiant/BSPC/q3map2 repos lately in order to use them with Linux. So far, the results are documented in DO NOT LINK[/b]) h t t p s : / / openarena . wikia . com/wiki/User:PumpkinKnight/Radiant_repository_overview]this page.

If you cannot bear to open the Wiki:
  • The repos were compiled under Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon, then cross-compiled into Win binaries. The required packages were all installed, and no modifications were made to the code.
  • The first test was just run make in order to generate the Linux binaries. (Except for the repos which required scons or cmake)
  • Every compiled repo had the OpenArena Pack installed.
  • Gamepack problems due to ingar.satgnu.net being down won't count as failures.
Some notes:
  • I liked the progress marker in maek (github).
  • I LOVED the new features in garux. It became my main editor in Linux. Still trying to get a hold on how selection works there, though.

"Detailed" is nice, but if it gets in the way of clarity, it ceases being a nice addition and becomes a problem. - TVT
