offtopicish, but other definite GPL (no cc or lvl license) .map files (that I know of) to scavenge:

asking when OA3 will be done won't get OA3 done.
Progress of OA3 currently occurs behind closed doors alone

I do not provide technical support either.

We really need more team style maps to have a well rounded team based mission pack for ctf, 1fctf, dd, harvester, overload, etc...

I released the mapfile of spirit3ctfduel1 under the GPL some weeks ago.

Feel free to grab it if you like it:

EDIT: mapfile is included in the pk3, readme says it's GPL. PM me if you need more info.

I've found the pack at BG, I'll download it and re-upload to the hosting where I have my other maps as well.

675 MB Cheesy
I've rescued a lot of maps and stuff before these gets lost forever. Specially after FileFront incident and those files saved onto file upload services which were deleted due to inactivity.

Unfortunately not everything is there. Sad

This time I couldn't saved this one, but BeerGardn has already saved it. I've just downloaded it and re-uploaded.
But the idea at that moment was to put the pack in the backup as well.

Spirit released the mc-oa-dm05.map source under the GPLv2, it is in the svn waiting to be re-textured (I won't be able to get to it for awhile source/assets/maps/oa_bod.map if anyone else wants to have a go at it).
I'm doing some work on this one, I took some more evillair's textures from Nexuiz which were needed for this map, and I'm doing the replacements for the other textures as well.

I think it's a very nice DM map, OA needs maps like this one.

(I'm gonna need some help with textures too -.-)

I agree .... this map is awesome to play ... I've played a lot it locally with bots because the only server hosting it was/is Beer Garden but I have a ping of 200 there.

there was another big (but not heavy ) FFA map I've played a lot locally because I've never found it online : lastarena ( lastarena.pk3 ) ... dunno about textures , but it comes with the source so I think it can be rearranged for OA.

EDIT : it lastarena comes with the source , but it is distribuited under the ..::LvL Open Game Source License .... so .... forget about it what I've wrote.

In 0.8.8 oa_shouse was supposed to have support for DOM and DD. Here's a patch pk3 which gives support for those, as well as Possession. Also there's an .info file.
