anyway, i'm here and i'm trying to build the mac and ppc linux versions in time for the release, but i have a problem: now everything seems working, but i still get the cdkey request at startup.

Have you checked if the changes from the diff file has been applied correctly. In my experience it often goes wrong somewhere. Try applying again and look for any changes that couldn't be applied.

Look if the changes are made to the function: "CL_CDKeyValidate" in "code/client/cl_main.c"
i had some problems with the patch, i had to patch the last 2 files manually, but now all seems ok.

ok, just uploaded the files.

mac version: universal binary (intel and ppc)

linux ppc version: normal, server and smp version (but i think that the smp one is now useless).

the linux binaries are "normal" linux binaries, if you want to include them in the linux release they shouldn't have problems.

the mac version is an application bundle: on windows/linux/whatever will look as a folder (and it is a folder) but mac users will see it as an application. if you want to include it in the linux release or to do a separate release for it it will work as it was an executable.

if you prefer to not release them directly i'll do a release separately, as soon 0.7 is out, like i did for 0.6, but this time i should be able to host the full game, not only the engines.

they both have the cdkey problem, still don't know why, but all works fine, i think.

which patch did you use? the 060-oachanges or the oachanges?

oachanges should apply properly and includes a fix for the annoying beep whereas the 060-changes patch has always needed to be applied manually and doesn't include that fix.

asking when OA3 will be done won't get OA3 done.
Progress of OA3 currently occurs behind closed doors alone

I do not provide technical support either.

We made some last minute engine changes so unfortunately we couldn't include your binaries.  Also I hopefully fixed the problem with the patch so you shouldn't get the cdkey check (hopefully).

If you compile from the ioq3-src-oa.tar.bz2 (the code I compiled the binaries with) you shouldn't have a problem with anything.

ok, i'm in chat with fromhell and recompiling right now.

ioq3-src-oa.tar.bz2 does not build on os x, here is the log. i'll try on linux ppc.

i'm applying the diffs to 1106 ioq3 to recompile from it.

Code:
code/client/snd_codec_ogg.c:34:31: vorbis/vorbisfile.h: No such file or directory

Lack of the vorbis headers?
