Hi all
I am a new OpenArena user... and not really experimented, sorry about it.
I installed OA on my G4 iMac running Mac OSX 10.4 and it's working well.
I also installed OA on my Dell Windows XP laptop, and it's working well.
I connected them on my local network for a multiplayer game, and it was ok.

But I didn't succeed in connecting them via Internet :-(

I used the "whatismyip" website to find the server IP address, but I can't detect the server from the client computer... Can anyone help me for that ? (ps : I would like to avoid VNC configuration if possible)

PS : There is no Firewall turned on on my WinXP laptop

Your router then?

I had to open up ports on my router for OA to even connect to the master server.

I didn't find any Firewall option on my router's html config page (it's an adsl+phone preconfigured provider's box)... I have to check with the provider if there is an option for it (they have a Firewall service online, so perhaps they don't have one in the box)

Someone suggested me that it could be impossible to test the Internet connexion between 2 computers connected on the same router. If it's true it means that I will have to test the connexion from two separate Internet connexions (difficult to be everywhere simultaneously)

Just show you know the master server is down

for the time being, if you're trying to connect over the internet through it that is

asking when OA3 will be done won't get OA3 done.
Progress of OA3 currently occurs behind closed doors alone

I do not provide technical support either.
