Nice explosion, Needs some black some afterwards.

Is it me or does the explosion get sucked back in?

The original explosion from Team Arena was a black sphere with some wacky shaders on it. It looked ugly and I didn't like it much so I just messed around with the muzzleflash model I made earlier, duplicate it a bunch, and so and so to mock up this kamikaze effect.

Is it me or does the explosion get sucked back in?

It's not just you, the ring should start expanding before the globe's expansion finishes to hopefully avoid that look.  Think of the Death Star explosion in Star Wars: Episode IV (expanded edition not the original).
