Openarena 0.7.1 crashes immediately on startup. I'm running Mac OSX 10.3.9, 1 GHz G4 iMac, GeForce4 MX.

I don't have "OpenAL.framework" but I do have "OpenGL.framework."

Then you'll need OpenAL.Framework.

or !!!

start with +set s_useOpenAL 0 in the alias

asking when OA3 will be done won't get OA3 done.

Can't do pass parameters on Macs (yeah, it's a pain).

BTW I have ioquake3 running Quake 3 and it works just fine.

Well you can try running that parameter in a console, then keep s_useOpenAL set to 0 since that, and every attempt to run it should be fine from then.

If it's not, then you'll need to install OpenAL.

OK, installed OpenAL and now it's working. Thanks fromhell.

Mac users FYI: the crash log is located in:

~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/ioquake3.ub.crash.log

OpenAL (cross-platform 3D audio API) can be found at:
