create the model. select it. export md3. dont forget to set shader path. done
or read the wiki

I wish I had the time and clever wording and guiding to make a MD3 player creation tutorial. That would have sparked a bunch of potential creativity from several artists.

i did all of that but the model doesn't show in the game

oh and i want to make a player model not just a something to be put in a map

tags are made from Empty ?
and i need to put this tags in a specific location ?

Yes, tags are empties
they must be placed where you would put the origin of another mesh at (like upper, weapon or head). You also can parent the empty to a bone so the weapons stick onto hands and torso is held onto waist and head is on the neck (THIS IS SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUSLY RECCOMENDED)

What about map objects? (Trees...bushes...etc) Where can us n00bies start?

(And for the record, I am not calling whoever started this topic a newbie.)

export md3 -> in gtkradiant, add the md3 model to your map
static md3s become a part of your map
animated md3's are separate from your map. They won't have lightmap
