Title: Sound volume too low Post by: foo on December 19, 2008, 11:04:27 PM The sound volume in OpenArena is too low. I could simply turn up the sound volume in general, but I often listen to music played by an external program (XMMS) while playing.
Thus I don't want the sound in OpenArena to be too low nor too high. The sound volume is at maximum in the game but is still way too low, I attempted to set the volume by editing the q3config.cfg by changing the s_volume variable. With seemingly no effect. How can I make the sound louder? Title: Re: Sound volume too low Post by: damocles on December 19, 2008, 11:25:51 PM You can adjust s_volume and s_musicvolume in the console (press ~ or Shift+Esc), and it should stay the same at the next startup.
The default is 0.8, but you can specify a number larger than 1 if you really have to. It's independent of PCM/mixer volume, AFAIK. |
