Title: Re: Open Arena Usefuls Links Post by: BewnieMike on June 12, 2007, 04:57:51 PM This question has probably been answered elsewhere . . . but how to I INSTALL these maps after I've downloaded them, so I can play them in Open Arena?
I'm using Ubuntu Feisty 64-bit on a Biostar board with an AMD Athlon 64 3400+ processor. Title: Re: Open Arena Usefuls Links Post by: jackoverfull on June 12, 2007, 06:18:01 PM in the map is .pk3 file you must put it in the baseoa folder, if it is a .bsp one put it in baseoa/maps (create "maps" if there isn't one).
anyway, your question is a little off-topic here.. Title: Re: Open Arena Usefuls Links Post by: w1zrd on August 14, 2007, 05:07:01 AM Map-pack with 100 maps -> http://openarena.ws/board/index.php?topic=953.0 (http://)

I set up a board to share a few things with players I know in OA, and I took screenshots of most models listed in on this page : http://ioquake3.org/models/ You can see these pics here : http://jolie.techa.free.fr/screenshots/models/ I also made a selection of the ones I like : http://jolie.techa.free.fr/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=25 I also published some screenshots (which were already done) of the map pack made by w1zrd (sorry, calling you wizard :D) : CTF Maps : http://jolie.techa.free.fr/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16 Other Maps (DM, ...) : http://jolie.techa.free.fr/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=24 It's a rather bilingual board, so normal if you meet some french words ;) See ya Edit: I added a zip file with all the model screenshots : http://jolie.techa.free.fr/files/screenshots%20all%20models.zip ; easier to view locally Title: Re: Open Arena Usefuls Links Post by: pulchr on December 07, 2007, 10:17:58 AM omg, oh noes, cacatoes! :D

Thanks for all your work on this for the Mac...and thanks to all the folks that have developed this game!!!! Title: Re: Open Arena Usefuls Links Post by: skankychicken on April 19, 2008, 10:27:50 AM Kikou, aw.. i just stumbled accross this by mistake but exactly what i was needin and would have been painful to write a script for it. thank youI set up a board to share a few things with players I know in OA, and I took screenshots of most models listed in on this page : http://ioquake3.org/models/ edit: removed full quote Title: Re: Open Arena Usefuls Links Post by: skankychicken on April 21, 2008, 07:53:17 AM Thanks to Cacatoes I put the files in gallery format and are a reasonable size to get an idea of the model :
http://q3eu.com/modules.php?name=NukeWrap&page=MODELLIST1 Title: Re: Open Arena Usefuls Links Post by: Cacatoes on April 21, 2008, 08:54:29 AM Good idea, just to add : I didn't shot every model, some didn't work, and some looked obvious (homer simpson, & other famous characters we can easily guess how they look).
So for an extensive list of models, check the ioquake3 page. If you want me to add new models I forgot, make a list of the missing ones and I'll try to do that. Title: Re: Open Arena Usefuls Links Post by: skankychicken on April 21, 2008, 09:40:44 AM No thats perfect. There are often requests for people to see images of models on our site based in the US, mainly younger people. Now I'm on a mission to get all the levelshots for maps at 160 x 120 for the game browser and using the ref/rcon web based interface to check out the maps using AJAX :)

Open Arena Clan Leauge Will bring together the existing clans, and if its successful it will maybe even get players to oa that dont want to play without competition. Title: Re: Open Arena Usefuls Links Post by: RudyRailer on December 23, 2008, 03:37:31 PM Nice link for info about:
