Title: 0.9 IK rig animation priority Post by: fromhell on August 23, 2010, 03:10:46 AM From important (SUPER STIFF) to notsoimportant (almost moving):
Liz Major Smarine Penguin (Same skeleton as Grism) Tony Beret (Same skeleton as Tony) Ayumi Assassin Sergei Sorceress Arachna Kyonshi Grism Merman Neko Far into progress: Angelyss - moves like a dancer Gargoyle - moves like a monster. chest shrunken and more edgesplitting Done none The purpose of the reanimation goal is to end the suffering of rigormortis for everybody (except for Kyonshi). This is one of OA's biggest flaws no one ever, EVER admits. The animation as of current is all an 'auto-IK' job without any IK Solver of any kind. I want to change that. Plus not only animating with IK is easier than the auto-IK method, it looks and tweens better. The only extreme difficulty is getting the IK rig working first. Priority: I understand Liz and Major but I believe Smarine can wait a little. Smarine is stiff but that doesn't seem that wrong to me. Title: Re: 0.9 IK rig animation priority Post by: Marble of Doom on August 23, 2010, 09:51:15 PM I guess this also doesn't apply to Skelebot

Title: Re: 0.9 IK rig animation priority Post by: fromhell on September 03, 2010, 04:25:52 AM I'm starting work on Liz's IK. Before that, I rearranged the UVs a little to use one 512x512 texture instead of 3 256x256s, plus removed the asymmetry (which wasn't doing much anyway). I hope kit89 doesn't mind, but binding to less textures increases performance much.

Title: Re: 0.9 IK rig animation priority Post by: kit89 on October 22, 2010, 04:04:11 AM I have absolutely no problems with Liz or any of my models being updated and improved.
I look forward to seeing the changes. :) kit89. |
