Post by: erachude on January 17, 2007, 08:43:40 AM
i found an interesting site that covers quake3 modding.

i'm going to have to learn some c programming skills and start playing.

it is pretty cool. any other links i should know about?  :-)

i'd vaguely glanced at the ioquake3 source code before, but thought it would be too complex. looking through some of the tutorials it seemed fairly easy, so i started wading through and experimenting. it's really easy to change a lot of stuff and i've bought myself a big book on c programming. i can really see myself getting into this.

http://www.soclose.de/q3doc/files.htm
...where it describes all the files in the quake3 source code.

jackpot!

thanks.  :-)
