Q's about converting bots.

Thought I'd try my hand at converting Q3 bots to OpenArena. Some questions:

1) Are the weights used in *_w.c and *_i.c the same as in Q3, or is there some sort of conversion factor?

2) Is there some sort of protocol, such as asking for the author's permission, if I were to make these publicly available?
