This is interesting. fglrx doesn't perform badly in OA as i thought it would be. The settings: 1024x768x32, r_picmip 0, bilinear filter, r_flares 1, r_detailTextures 1, the card is a Radeon 9800

Linux results:
bench_dm6ish : 166fps
bench_gargoyles2 : 90fps

Windows results:
bench_dm6ish: 152fps
bench_gargoyles2: 110fps avg

I find the dm6ish benchmark odd imo since it's faster in Linux.

The benchmark demos are in the SVN by the way

asking when OA3 will be done won't get OA3 done.
Progress of OA3 currently occurs behind closed doors alone

I do not provide technical support either.

Radeons up to 9250 perform wonderful with the free drivers.

And up to X850 pcie works fine with free drivers too. (atleast for q3 engine games)
I run an X700pcie with r_300.

To state the obvious; fgl is not a free driver.

Where can we get the benches? please, please, include them in the mainline distribution.
Would be ideal to compare the various open driver/hardware combinations for performance.
