lei-

I had the same issue a few months ago, I solved it using 3 different captcha images and tell the registrar to pick the one thats different.  With 2 of the images being the same and 1 different and their order being random.

You could also use an Ajax secret token generator.

both work well.

Id be happy to provide you with the php captcha script, its pretty easy to use.  I could if needed always write you a custom tailored anti spam solution if you would like.

either works =)

PS, sorry about this being in the wrong forum, cant pm you, and there is no general topic.  Move to where it belongs if you see fit Wink.

Is this spam-bot related or just a coincidence?
There are a lot of the same actions repeated here.

wow,

what did you use to pull that log.  Its extremely vague.  If you had a ip list in there I would say that if the repeated signup hits are from the same ip(proxy) that its probable.  But thats also pretty much expected.  There are more spam crawlers then those used for search engines.  Heck I saw a crawler last week that crawled forums & sites for email addresses and phone numbers.  And they wanted it adapted to crawl hotmail, so go figure.

It was just a screenshot of the "Who's Online" page.

Guests are the least of my worries. I can't do anything about them, unless you want me to play god and censor the internet.
