hey, so im trying to put a .pk3 file in my baseoa folder and it keeps saying i dont have permission to do so, when i clearly do. is there somthing im missing? the location of my baseoa is /usr/share/games/openarena/baseoa

You need root permissions to place it there, so don't do it! Rather place it into ~/.openarena/basoa (/home/<username>/.openarena/baseoa).
