Your map is too big (>2MB) to be uploaded to these forums? You can try some of these sites.

Also, filesharing services, with all the things they imply.

Rolling updates..

This is an e-mail from the MapRaider staff:

Quote
Thank you!  We've updated the site with those you listed and also included swapped out "Deathmatch" for "Free For All" mode listed on the official OpenArena About page just for consistency.

Now I just need someone to help me get some OA maps added before Mapraider v2.0 rolls out Wink

So, if someone is interested, we're waiting for you!!! ^^

Well, no idea. They might approve a lot of maps at once or just one at week, IDK.

http://www.gamefront.com/ (mapraider hosts there)
http://mega.co.nz/ (the new megaupload)
http://www.atomicgamer.com/ (was 3ddownloads before)
https://www.dropbox.com/
http://www.moddb.com/ (fast approval)
http://www.gameupdates.org/ (torrent hosting. They have permanent seedboxes so you don't have to be a seeder yourself)
http://gamebanana.com/ (instant approval)

And there are many general file hosting services out there (easy share, rapidshare, etc)

MapRaider started accepting new maps again. I'll be uploading several maps which I have just rescued.

My personal favorite site for Q3 Maps is this one: http://ws.q3df.org/

And no, it's not on that list...

It has like, every map ever released all in one place and a map search function.

But we're talking about places where mappers can upload their OpenArena maps, NOT their Q3 maps. For Q3 map uploading, there's a lot of places.

Doesn't Q3 work with OA maps, and vice versa? It does have a couple of OA maps, but I guess the majority are for Quake 3. 4

Edit: Who ported this to android? I saw the guy on the Android Market link to this site. His name started with a "P". I'd like to suggest some more possible features. (If he has time) It's a very well done port. Smiley

About the first, yes, Q3 maps work with OA, but there's another topic for that. This list is for mappers who create maps specifically for OpenArena.

About the second question, the one you're searching for is pelya.

About interoperability of Q3 maps with OA... Q3A maps do work in OA, although you may experience "missing textures" in some maps (due to OA not yet having "replacements" for all baseq3/team arena textures). See DO NOT LINK[/b]) h t t p s : / / openarena . wikia . com/wiki/MapCompat]this wiki page for a list of tested maps.
There are even a few "q3a2oa texture compatibility packs" around, which include replacements for missing Q3 textures... however their quality is variable, they do override some OA textures, and their GPL compliance is not sure.

About playing OA maps in Q3A, instead... there may be some missing textures -due to being OA specific- which will never be ported to Q3A (unless someone creates an "oa2q3a texture compatibility pack").

About the Android port, here it is its dedicated thread: http://openarena.ws/board/index.php?topic=4577.0

doesn't mean a site for q3 maps is a site for oa maps.

asking when OA3 will be done won't get OA3 done.

I wouldn't recommend Worldspawn archive for OA map uploading.  Isn't that place DeFraG centric and only recognizes Q3?
