*GASP*

Won't someone think of the children?!?

Why not delete the bsp and aas entirely and just distribute the .map, make the freaks that like the level compile it themselves and save the bandwidth?

Yeah I personally like void4 haha, at least keep the .map somewhere, maybe someone can 'revive it' later? Tongue

For those of you that crave falling forever, I'm making a big, crazy, low grav, rail only, abstract, space floater called "The Construct". Expect the unexpected.

I always wondered why it was not explicitly available in 0.6. I think that was a wrong decision. Void4 is a refreshing different, fast-paced, action-filled map; not the usual hide-and-seek, rockets-away pabulum. But leaving it completely out in 0.7 is most unfortunate: instead of adding thousand of not-well animated models and Quake's dm maps  (if want to play them, I play the original), I would have preferred this level to stay in and be selectable by menu. I think OA contains worse levels, e.g. CE1M7. Usually when that map is loaded, everybody leaves...

edit: it has been fixed meanwhile. See http://openarena.ws/board/index.php?topic=1945.msg23008#msg23008 or download it from http://uploaded.to/?id=d0h5mo .

Void4 was not so bad, but with combinations with the broken textures and high frag/timelimits, it didn't get so popular. Also the pavements maybe need to be a bit wider.

+1

This map was loved (and hated) by many players on Tuxfamily's servers. I think that it'd be a true waste to throw away an original map like this one.

Well at least it's not completely oliberated. It's in the attic because it's broken and my attempts at fixing it didn't work.
