Greetings,

i made some stairs which i would like to include in my next map.
But the details are very high and compile time will be tremendous, if i do not mark the stairs as detail brushes.
This leads me to my question: whats the best way to make the structural brushes in this real world example?
Just draw a big block which covers the whole stair or model some structural brushes inside of the stair?

Would be nice if someone could give me a hand here (see a_god_stairs.map file).

Hello.

Maybe it's the texture you use for the stairs that take lot of time.

In my little mapper experience i have made this version without the triangles. Try it.

Wink

P.S.: Sorry for my english but i'm Italian Tongue
